Baron Automotive Group, Inc. opened to the public on March 1, 1993 under the ownership of Barton Cohen and Baron Cass. Under their direction Baron Automotive became a regional powerhouse offering a huge selection to satisfy the wide-ranging tastes of the consumer. From its humble beginnings that was formerly Merriam Volkswagen, Baron acquired the Volkswagen and MINI franchises expanding its offering to the driving enthusiast. Since then, Baron has become a fixture in the KC Metro area and surrounding communities earning the coveted Center of Excellence Award in 2004 and 2005.
In early 2007 Baron Automotive Group was purchased by Houston, Texas based Group 1 Automotive; a Fortune 500 Company. Under Group 1, Baron has begun a new era by committing itself to increase its market share and maintain its high standards for complete customer satisfaction, both in sales and service. Simply put, our goal is to establish long-term relationships with our Customers and provide them with an experience synonymous with the BMW brand.
